Written Examination (objective, one day):
• Paper I: Mathematics — 300 marks, 2.5 hours (algebra, trigonometry, analytical geometry, calculus, statistics & probability of 10+2 level)
• Paper II: General Ability Test — 600 marks, 2.5 hours
– Part A: English — 200 marks
– Part B: General Knowledge — 400 marks (physics, chemistry, general science, history & freedom movement, geography, current events)
SSB Interview / Intelligence & Personality Test — 900 marks (five-day, two-stage process).
Negative marking of one-third applies in the written papers. Final merit: written 900 + SSB 900, followed by medical examination and merit-cum-preference allocation to Army, Navy and Air Force wings.
